Katelyn joined Maine Cancer Foundation in December 2014 as the Operations Manager. In January 2016, she transitioned to the role of Program Manager, where she is responsible for administrating the Foundation’s grants and membership activities. Specifically, Katelyn manages the grantmaking program and supports the Foundation’s membership.
Katelyn grew up in Center Harbor, New Hampshire, part of the state’s Lakes Region. Ready to leave a small hometown, she ventured to Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where she earned a degree in English and Women’s and Gender Studies. After spending way too much time driving on Route One in New Jersey, Katelyn decided it was time to relocate back to New England in 2012. Though she can’t yet call herself a Mainer, Katelyn loves this state.
Prior to Maine Cancer Foundation, Katelyn worked at various nonprofits in New Jersey and Maine in grant writing, development, marketing, and office management. Most recently, Katelyn managed a youth leadership program and traveled around Maine working with teens in their communities (a fabulous way to see the state, if you ever get the chance!). Katelyn currently lives in Portland with her partner, Ben, and their three super cute pets -- Bella, Butters, and Molly. On most weekends, you can find her on outdoor adventures, seeing live music, or trying out a new restaurant downtown.
