My first ocean swim is done!!

This past Saturday was the first organized swim training clinic in the ocean and my first time swimming in the ocean with a wet suit on.  There was such an amazing turnout of first time Tri for a Cure swimmers and the angels to guide us.  Every precaution was taken to make sure that the swimmers

I have swum in Maine lakes my whole life and loved every minute of it, even when the water being on the cold side, but I have never swum in a wetsuit.  Monday night was full of amazing firsts for me, from swimming in my wetsuit, to the distance that I swam.

In all honesty, I can’t say that I’ve been training as much as my other teammates have been. I’ve been focusing on my body and what it needs to keep healthy because for the past twenty-two years, I’ve eaten and drank whatever I’ve wanted and I haven’t focused on exercising like I should.
